Chiropractic Exam

The purpose of the initial consultation is a meet and greet for you and your family with the doctor. The aim is to discuss your health concerns, health history, and goals you wish to achieve from care and to assess any underlying concerns.

Our exam process is non-invasive and will establish the level of brain and body connection and proper movement. Tests can include reflexes, flexibility, neurological assessment, orthopedic testing, and postural and physical tests. Digital x-rays are also taken to identify structural imbalances if deemed necessary. X-rays help us locate any bone abnormalities, fractures, abnormal curvatures, and reveal any phase of spinal degeneration or osteoarthritis.

After reviewing all information gathered, the doctor will give you an accurate assessment of your current health status, primarily focused on the condition of your spine and nerve system. Following this discussion comes the recommendation of care based purely on the tests and examinations conducted. It takes into consideration the severity of your concerns, age and condition of your spine, and time frame of how long the problem has been present.

The most important part is establishing mutually achievable goals from care that we can work towards. Should you decide to begin care, the next step is beginning your personalized care plan.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Chiropractic care addresses and improves the function of the brain and nervous system by adjusting or re-establishing normal movement and function of the vertebra in the spine. These adjustments reintegrate the nerves of the spine and corresponding peripheral nerves to the brain to create optimum communication between the brain and all cells, organs, tissues and systems of the body, including the immune system.

When your spine is properly aligned and your nervous system operates without interference, your body can function at its best. Chiropractic adjustments correct misalignments in the spine that interfere with nerve communication. The adjustments use controlled force to restore proper joint mobility, reduce nerve irritation, and improve bodily functions.

By stimulating proprioceptors in the joints and muscles, adjustments enhance body awareness and coordination while triggering the release of endorphins that help reduce pain and promote wellbeing. Beyond pain relief, chiropractic adjustments support stress management, improved sleep quality, enhanced immune function, and overall wellness.

From chronic lower back pain and sciatica to headaches, stress management, and pediatric care, chiropractic adjustments help with a wide range of conditions due to the impact on the brain and nervous system. Your body is self healing and self regulating when you allow the brain and body to communicate properly.

Animal Chiropractic

Animal chiropractic focuses on the preservation and health of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system. Nerves control everything that happens in your animals. Anything adversely affecting the nervous system will have detrimental effects that resonate throughout the entire body.

The brain and spinal cord are protected by the spine, a complex framework of bones or vertebra, ligaments, muscles and nerves. If the movement and biomechanics of the vertebra become dysfunctional, they can interfere with the nerves branching off the spinal cord to all muscles and organs. As this occurs, your animal can lose normal mobility, resulting in stiffness, tension, pain and even organ dysfunction.

When your pet’s spine and joints are properly aligned and communication with their brain is optimal, their body can move freely, heal more effectively, and function at its best. When normal movement is affected and left unattended, it will ultimately impact your animal’s entire wellbeing and quality of life.

Whether your pet is recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or maintaining peak performance as a working or athletic animal, chiropractic adjustments can make a meaningful difference in their comfort and quality of life.

Sports Chiropractic

Sports chiropractic focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries related to sports and exercise. While general chiropractic care focuses primarily on spinal health, sports chiropractic takes a whole body approach centered on athletic performance and injury recovery.

We go beyond basic spinal adjustments. Our approach integrates joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy, functional movement assessment, and active rehabilitation. We treat shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles using advanced techniques like Active Release Technique, Graston, and myofascial release to address muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia.

Sports chiropractic helps with acute injuries including sprains, strains, and joint dysfunction. We also treat chronic and overuse injuries like tendonitis, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and repetitive motion disorders.

Beyond treating injuries, sports chiropractic optimizes athletic performance through faster recovery after training, better joint mechanics and range of motion, injury prevention through biomechanical correction, greater agility and coordination, optimized power output, and increased mental confidence.

From youth athletes to professional competitors to recreational weekend warriors, we help athletes at every level recover faster, perform better, and stay in the game longer.

Pediatric Chiropractic

Pediatric chiropractic ensures your child’s nervous system and spine develop properly from infancy through the teenage years. Even minor spinal misalignments can affect sleep, digestion, behavior, and immune function. Our specialized techniques are incredibly gentle, using no more pressure than you would use to gently press on your own eyelid, just 1 to 2 ounces of pressure for infants.

The birth process places significant stress on a baby’s spine and skull. Early chiropractic evaluation can identify and address birth related trauma before it affects your baby’s development, feeding, or comfort. As babies grow and achieve major milestones, each requires proper spinal curves and nervous system function.

For infants, chiropractic can help with colic, difficulty latching, reflux, torticollis, poor sleep, and recovery from birth trauma. For toddlers and children, care addresses chronic ear infections, postural issues, bedwetting, growing pains, and support for children with developmental challenges.

For school age kids and teens, chiropractic helps with sports injuries, tech neck, backpack related strain, scoliosis monitoring, and headaches. Pediatric chiropractic care is safe, gentle, and tailored to your child’s age, temperament, and specific needs.

Prenatal Chiropractic

Prenatal chiropractic care focuses on maintaining proper spinal alignment and pelvic balance as your body undergoes remarkable changes during pregnancy. As your baby grows, your center of gravity shifts forward, creating postural changes including increased lumbar curve, forward head posture, rounded shoulders, and pelvic tilt changes. These create musculoskeletal stress that can lead to pain and dysfunction.

During pregnancy, your body produces relaxin, which loosens ligaments to prepare your pelvis for childbirth. While essential for delivery, it also creates joint instability. Regular chiropractic care helps maintain proper alignment despite increased joint laxity, reducing pain and preventing injuries.

The position and alignment of your pelvis directly affects the space available for your baby to move and position themselves for birth. When your pelvis is balanced and properly aligned, your baby has optimal room to move into the best position, and labor and delivery may be shorter and less complicated.

Prenatal chiropractic provides safe, drug free relief from common pregnancy discomforts including low back and hip pain, sciatica, round ligament pain, and general third trimester discomfort. Our gentle, pregnancy specific techniques keep you and your baby safe and comfortable throughout all three trimesters.

HRV Testing

Heart rate variability (HRV) testing measures the variation in time between consecutive heartbeats, providing a window into your autonomic nervous system. This system is the master regulator of stress response, recovery, and overall physiological resilience. A higher HRV indicates better health, fitness, and stress resilience, while lower HRV can signal overtraining, chronic stress, or underlying health concerns.

We include HRV testing for free on all patients’ first visit, then again on their 11th appointment, and on an as needed basis to monitor improvement. Your HRV score reflects how well your body adapts to stress, recovers from exertion, and maintains balance between activation and rest.

For athletes, HRV helps optimize training load and prevent overtraining. For professionals managing work stress, HRV reveals whether your body is adequately recovering from daily demands or accumulating stress that could lead to burnout. HRV is also valuable for managing chronic health conditions, supporting mental health, and tracking the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions.

Whether you’re an athlete seeking a competitive advantage, a professional managing stress, or someone dealing with chronic health challenges, HRV assessment offers valuable insights that guide personalized care strategies.
